Math Milkyway Tutoring Policy
1. Tutoring Sessions
Math Milkyway provides online mathematics tutoring through scheduled one-to-one tutoring, small-group tutoring, and online classes. Standard tutoring sessions are 60 minutes unless otherwise specified.
2. Attendance and Punctuality
Students should join scheduled sessions on time and be ready to learn. If a student arrives late, the session will normally end at the originally scheduled time. Cancellations or rescheduling require at least 24 hours’ notice.
3. Student Participation and Preparation
Students should come prepared with any assignments, questions, notes, or other materials needed for the session. Active participation, practice, and willingness to work through problems are important parts of the learning process.
4. Homework and Academic Support
Math Milkyway provides homework, quiz, test, midterm, and final-exam support. Tutoring focuses on helping students understand mathematical concepts and develop problem-solving skills rather than simply providing answers.
5. Parent or Guardian Communication
Parents or guardians may receive brief progress updates, particularly for one-to-one tutoring. Communication may include student progress, learning priorities, areas needing additional practice, and recommendations for continued support.
6. Online Session Expectations
Students should have a reliable internet connection, a functioning device, and the materials needed for tutoring. Sessions should be attended from an appropriate environment that allows the student to participate and concentrate on learning.
7. Tutoring Packages
Math Milkyway may offer tutoring packages containing a specified number of sessions and validity period. Package details, prices, included services, and expiration periods are displayed when the package is purchased. Unused sessions are subject to the terms of the selected package.
8. Cancellation and Rescheduling
Cancellations or rescheduling require at least 24 hours’ notice. Sessions canceled or rescheduled with less than 24 hours’ notice may not be eligible for a credit or rescheduling.
